Do you think that the process of selling your junk car has to be complicated or time-consuming? If so, you could not be more wrong. In fact, it is possible to sell your car for cash in just three simple steps. These steps can often be completed in just a single day without the need to ever even leave your home. Continue reading to learn more about these three steps so that you can get rid of that junk car and start enjoying your spare cash as soon as possible.

Step 1: Contact Salvage Yards

The first thing you will need to do is to contact a few different salvage yards in your local area in order to get quotes for your vehicle. Be sure to have the year, make, and model of the vehicle before contacting these companies as this information will be required in order to provide you with an accurate quote. You may also be asked whether or not the vehicle is missing any parts and whether the vehicle has aluminum or steel alloy wheels. This information can impact the value of your junk car so be sure to gather this type of information before placing your calls.

Once you have gotten a few different quotes, simply select the offer you wish to accept and contact that salvage yard to schedule a time for them to come out to your location and collect the vehicle.

Step 2: Complete the Paperwork

When the tow truck driver arrives at your location, they will come prepared with a bit of paperwork that you must complete. This paperwork is really quite simple and typically requires nothing more than a few signatures from you.

If you have the title for the vehicle on hand, you will be asked to sign the back of this title in order to indicate that you are selling the vehicle to the salvage yard. If you no longer have the title or simply do not know where it is, you will need to sign an affidavit of ownership and provide corroborating documentation such as an insurance or registration card that shows you are the owner of the vehicle that is being sold.

Step 3: Collect Your Cash

Once all of the paperwork is completed, you will be provided with your cash payment. The tow truck driver will then load the vehicle onto their truck, and the process will be complete.

About Me

Go In Like a Wrecking Ball Do you know who likes wrecking balls? Actually, believe it or not, an auto wrecking company doesn't. They don't use a lot of wrecking balls, in spite of what the name suggests. Instead, they tend to take cars apart piece by piece, using a variety of tools, all of which tend to be more delicate than a wrecking ball. They want the car parts in tact, after all. They sell the car parts to be used in cars that need repairs. Learn more about the auto wrecking industry and its lack of wrecking ball use right here on this blog.
